Sandpoint, Idaho- Celebration Forest, a memorial tree planting service, has planted two trees in memory of those who were affected by the Attack on America on September 11, 2001. The first tree, an Oak, is in honor of the volunteers and rescue workers who generously donated their time and skills to the rescue effort, and the second, also an Oak, is in loving memory of the Americans that were tragically lost that fateful day. Each tree is planted in Celebration Forest's Bear Butte Grove near Sandpoint, Idaho, where the company is based. The Oak tree for the volunteers is located at C120-R2 in the forest, and the victim's is at C120-R3, both of which are available for public viewing. The Oak trees were chosen for their strength and beauty, both characteristics of the men and women who were involved in the September 11th tragedy. Each volunteer who helped with the recovery effort or family member or friend who lost a loved one is encouraged to contact Celebration Forest for a free personalized certificate. Celebration Forest will mail a free laminated certificate complete with the person's name and dedication; ie: “In loving memory of our son, Brian, who was tragically lost on September 11, 2001 from Mom and Dad” or “In honor of Michelle, who generously donated her time and skills to the rescue effort on September 11, 2001”. Volunteers and survivors can contact Celebration Forest via toll-free phone at 1-877-245-7378, email info@celebrationforest.com, or on their website at www.celebrationforest.com to request their September 11, 2001 certificate free-of-charge. It is the hope of Celebration Forest that the certificates of dedication will bring peace to those affected by this tragedy, and that the physical growth of the trees will provide an opportunity to turn something that is dark, cruel and senseless into something living, growing and beautiful. Celebration Forest is a company that creates permanent forest preserves by planting trees in the names of loved ones. They assign each tree a grove number so families can locate their tree when they visit the forest. Celebration Forest donates each record of dedication to museums for future generation's reference of their tree and the land is held in perpetuity, meaning it can never be harvested or open to development.
